In the New Year discourse, Bhagawan talked about good industrial relations and how community halls could be utilized for inculcating good habits in children. With three good stories, He explained how and what type of stories should be told to children and what should be their effect on them. Telling that sincere and active service entitles one to the grace of God, He exhorted the office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Organisation to practise and follow the rules and regulations laid down by Him. Stating that a diamond would not be sold in open market like fish, Bhagawan said that personal sadhana is more precious than a diamond and one should not make a show of it. How bhajan is to be sung, the significance of Vaikunta Ekadasi, the posture of namaskar, and the description of twenty six principles, to which man should pay attention, form the main points of chapters three and four. Stating that Bharat is the name for a way of life and a synonym for tolerance and mutual love, a garden of multihued religions and philosophies, creeds and faiths, He said that, the children of Bharat are fortunate to have its heritage. In the Sivaratri discourse, Swami explained about linga and the reason for its emergence from Him. The inner meaning of Ramayana, which if practised in daily life would lead to joy and peace, was explained by Bhagawan in the discourse on 4th April, at Brindavan.
