Christmas in the Abode of Supreme Peace, Prasanthi Nilayam

Today is a joyous day for millions of devotees all over the world, for it was on this day more than two thousand and twenty years ago that the 'Star of Infinite Brilliance', Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Against great opposition, He relentlessly followed His ministry of love, compassion and service of the poor and the oppressed, and sacrificed his life for the salvation of humanity.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has talked in the Abode of Supreme Peace, Prasanthi Nilayam, and other places about the birth, life and teachings of Jesus. In a number of His Christmas discourses, He exhorted the devotees to follow the teachings of Jesus, and wanted the Christians to become better in their own faith, by living the teachings of the Son of God, who announced, "I and My Father Are One".
