Dr. Sunam Gyamtso Tenzin hails from the Himalayan State of Sikkim and is an alumnus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. He received his PhD in Buddhist Studies in 1991 from the Divine hands of Beloved Bhagawan. He was deeply involved in the College cultural activities and scored music for many dramas and concerts. He is an ardent composer of Bhajans and devotional music that have gained much popularity down the decades and is also known for his singing.
He served the State Government of Sikkim as an Assistant Director at the Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology and later also served the Unicef as a media consultant. He also served as Executive Director of Creative Arts and Media Association - CAMA, a media house in Kathmandu Nepal. Presently he is President of the Society for Promotion of Art, Culture, Education and Environmental Excellence - SPACE SIKKIM, a Charitable Trust and also works as a consultant with the Government of Sikkim.
