90th Birthday Celebrations

The Birthday Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba have always been majestic and thrilling for the devotees who gather for it at Prasanthi Nilayam. However, the most delightful among the Birthday traditions has been the Jhoola Mahotsavam, the ornate swing ceremony. This is possibly because each devotee becomes part of the ceremony by gently swinging their God and Master, on the silver swing in the innermost recesses of their hearts with their every heartbeat.

It was no different during the 90th Birthday celebrations. In fact, it was a double-delight as two musical offerings were made. The first was a maestro's inspired performance as the legendary Ustad Zakir Hussain let his fingers dance on the table. The second was the soul-stirring rendition of songs by those whom Swami always considers as His own property - His students!
